Late last year, we spoke to Rose about her senior photos and showed her some of our work. A senior at Carnegie High School, Rose was really looking forward to planning the session. We then set the date for the photo shoot in late January, hoping for good weather.
Fast forward to late January. Rose arrived at the studio with a couple of changes of clothes, but was unsure of how everything would go. We talked about the places and the shots she wanted to see in her photo shoot and we collaborated to put together a great shoot plan. Cindy and I worked with Rose to get her comfortable before we headed to the Menil. Rose loves the Menil where she has spent many happy hours, so we really worked to capture her in multiple backgrounds there. We also headed to the park by the Rothko Chapel and got some great park setting photos, including a batch of headshots she would need for her college applications. We finished at the Sabine Street Bridge before we loaded up the Jeep to head back to the studio. Once there, we finished the shoot upstairs in the studio with some fun images. We wrapped the whole photo shoot up in a little over 90 minutes and let Rose loose to get on with her day.
This past Saturday, Rose and her Dad came to the studio to view the final images while enjoying a little coffee, fresh orange juice, donuts and croissants. We proofed the photo shoot on our 77″ wall projection system and she loved them all. In fact, it took us over 30 minutes just to cull the final set of 35 images down to a manageable 18 images. She chose the Rock Star Collection and we can’t wait to deliver her prints, thank you cards, music video from her shoot and the flush-mount layflat album next week. Take a look at a few of our faves from the session below.
If you are a senior and need to get your senior photos done, don’t wait any longer! Call us at the studio and let’s talk about what you’d like to see for YOUR rock star photo shoot!
