Cadillac Culinary Masters – Charles Clark

This has been one of the busiest Junes in years.  I would normally take a slow June to map out some fall season promotions and to get the studio back in shape for the post-summer season.  While I love being busy, it has left me little time to post some of the great people I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph recently.

I posted a few images back in March and early April of Monica Pope, Robert Del Grande, Hugo Ortega and Polo Bacerra that I shot for a national ad campaign for Cadillac’s Culinary Masters Series.  The Cadillac ad campaign is running in each of 10 large metro areas where they recognize outstanding chefs in each market.  I have completed 4 of the 9 total chefs so far.  Three of the four outstanding chefs I photograhed were James Beard candidates!

Today’s post features Charles Clark.  Famous for his local restaurants Ibiza, Braserie 19 and now Coppa, Charles is also noted for his Louisana beginnings and his love of seafood.  After working in multiple restaurants in Louisiana, Texas and Spain, Charles moved to Houston and attended culinary school.  While in Spain, Charles loved visiting the tapas bars where you can get appetizer portions of tons of different foods such as octopus, civiche, chorizo and other local favorites while sipping a great glass of wine.  He then decided to focus on Spanish cuisine in Houston and found a niche to exploit in the local food scene.  His success speaks for itself and thus, his national recognition by Cadillac.

We photographed Charles and his dishes and I’ve posted a few of our favorite images from the session.  One of these photos will run in the July issue of Houston Modern Luxury (just inside the front cover) for his recognition as a Cadillac Culinary Master.  Let us know how we can help you with YOUR photography needs!
