Fashion Line – Sameera Faridi

I have been involved with Fashion Houston since its inception over 6 years ago.  I photographed runway shows, behind the scenes photos and supporting events for the annual fashion show founded and managed by Jared Lang.  Last year, I was asked to take on the task of Director of Photography to manage the runway and freelance photographers in addition to managing the photos submitted by those photographers to Fashion Houston.  I’ve become acquainted with some of the more influential people in the world of local fashion through the work I’ve done for Fashion Houston.

A few weeks ago, I received a call from a representative of Sameera Faridi inquiring about shooting her entire new fashion line.   Sameera is a longtime Houstonian who moved here from Dubai and then suddenly changed her college major from pre-med to fashion.  To prove it wasn’t a fluke, she then opened her own store, Poshak Fashion & Design, in 2004.  She was named a Top 100 Creative in Houston by the Houston Press.  Her self-described “Bollywood Glamorous” style has kept her quite busy over the years.  We were thrilled to help her shoot her new line of swimwear cover-ups.

We set the date and a full crew arrived at the STP Images studio for the half day long shoot.  The model beautifully wore the 10 swimwear and cover-ups and they are stunning.  We also captured a full array of Sameera’s custom designed accessories.

Take a peek at some of our favorite’s from the photo shoot.  Even if you’re not a designer or a runway model, STP Images Photography Studio can make you beautiful in your portraits and headshots.  Give us a call or email us in the studio with questions or to book a session.
